Baby Care at Poplars Blossoms
We value a child centred approach that ensures your baby is cared for in very small groups, with no group of 3-24 month old babies exceeding 6 in a room, with a ratio of 1 carer to every 3 babies. This way we can provide the much needed personal attention that is essential for your baby’s wellbeing, building strong and healthy relationships. The nursery has found that once babies feel safe and secure, they begin to develop their own individual skills by using a range of exciting SENSORY activities that develop their natural curiosity. For example, the younger children find out about their surroundings by using their senses to explore the different textures, sights and sounds around them.
The Poplars Approach, whilst incorporating the Early Years Foundation Stage has found that your child benefits from the Human Scale ethos. This focuses on creating a small, close-knit learning community that incorporates our staff, your child and you as parents. This way we can support the development of your baby as an individual as our staff are dedicated to making the time to speak with you about your baby’s day and their development, making sure they give honest feedback. We also encourage you to share your home observations and any needs or concerns you may have. Your baby has a unique development book that captures the essence of their personality and behaviour whilst at nursery. We ask you, as parents or carers, to use this book to communicate with our staff about your lives at home in order to help them when planning personalised activities for your baby.
Ofsted inspects all provisions for the 0-2 years age group and our report is available to view upon request, along with our Safeguarding Children policy for your complete peace of mind.
